Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. inaugurated “School Banking” and provided Scholarship to the poor and meritorious students of Kurmitola High School, Dhaka on March 24, 2012. Chairman of the Bank Mr. Badiur Rahman was present as the Chief Guest and handed over scholarship cheques to 25 meritorious students of the school.
Due to Corporate Social Responsibility the Bank arranged the scholarship program along with the school banking service. Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Ekramul Hoque addressed the occassion as Special Guest. The ceremony was presided by Mr. Abul Hossain, Chairman of Kurmitola High School. The Occasion was addressed by founder chairman of the Bank Alhajj A.Z.M. Shamsul Alam, Directors Alhajj Md. Harun-Ar-Rashid Khan, Alhajj Abdul Malek Mollah, Members of Kurmitola High School Governing Body Mr. Md. Jahirul Islam, Mr. Kazi Aminul Islam, Alhajj Malek Matabbor and Manager of Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. Khilkhet Branch Mr. Sharif Chowdhury. Among others Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank Mr. Khondoker Nayeemul Kabir, Mr. Md. Mofazzel Hossain and Mr. Kazi Towhidul Alam were present on the occasion.
In his speech, Chairman Mr. Badiur Rahman said, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. is not only a financial institute but it also is a part of the society. He declared that the Bank will continue its CSR activities to help the poor in future. |
