Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. has opened 163rd branch at Rangamati on 07 October, 2018. Former State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Dipankar Talukdar inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. Chairman of the Bank Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu presided over the ceremony. Vice Chairman Alhajj Md. Abdus Salam and Chariman of Board Risk Management Committee Alhajj Md. Liakat Ali Chowdhury addressed as Special Guests while Managing Director and CEO Farman R Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech.
The occasion was addressed by Col. Md. Shamsul Alam of Rangamati DGFI, President of Rangamati Chamber of Commerce & Industries Belayet Hossain Bhuiyan, prominent businessman Lokman Hossain Talukder and Deputy Managing Director of the Bank S. M. Jaffar.
Senior Vice President and Zonal Head of AIBL Chittagong Zone Mohammad Azam along and other senior executives were also present in the occasion. The program was moderated by Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah and Vice President Jalal Ahmed. Manager of the branch Md. Golam Mohiuddin Chowdhury thanked the audience.

Chairman of AIBL Alhajj Abdus Samad Labu, in his speech, said Al-Arafah Islami Bank Ltd. was established not for making profit by doing business but for the welfare of society. He invited all to have the blessings of Islamic banking services in the new branch. He also said, Islamic banking system can boost-up the economy of the country. Managing Director and CEO of the Bank Farman R Chowdhury explained various statistics of the Bank and he ensured best services for clients.
